Bridal Style
One of our favorite wedding trend forecasts to follow year to year… bridal style! Jillian Tomczyk, Creative Director at The White Room, shares these 2025 bridal fashion trends that are on the rise.
Textures, textures, and more textures
Brides at The White Room have been loving things that feel “different.” In the past, we have seen staple fabrics such as crepes, mikados, and silks. But over the past year, we have seen a rise of brides looking for something simple while still being unique and impactful. Enter textures. Pleated tulle, embossed organza, jacquard, and even wool have been on the rise. The fabrics play off of simple and traditional silhouettes to create the perfect combination of cool and effortless.

Multi-functional looks
We have seen an increased interest in second looks. Brides seem to be really excited about changing into something that allows them to dance, move about freely, and ultimately, change things up! At The White Room, we seek to meet this goal while still allowing a bride to pay tribute to her dress. After all, you only get to wear it one night, so why not the whole night? This is where multi-functional looks come into play. A fitted dress with a removable train. A mini with a dramatic overskirt. These looks have a shock factor that is playful and dramatic, but it’s also a way to stay comfortable, and ultimately, make the most of your dress.

Thoughtful and fashionable accessories
This plays off of multi-functional looks in a sense. We have really seen the bridal world start to more loosely define what “bridal” really means. Brides are becoming more confident and adventurous, and they’re really starting to allow their own personal styles to play into their gowns. Some of my favorite ways I have seen this done recently is through scarves, removable glove-sleeves, textured veils, capes, and statement earrings. I definitely think we will continue to see more bold accessories such as these in the near future.

Decor & Design
When it comes to event decor and design, Adam Welz, Owner of PHOS Events, and Jacqueline Johannesson, Owner & Lead Designer of Collected & Co. are two of our go-to experts! You will definitely want to hear what they have to say on the wedding decor and design trends we’ll be seeing more of this year.
Event Decor
Mixed seating & tablescapes
There is no better way to add dimension to your space like adding in different sized tables and seating options. Mixing in round banquette seating with smaller tables gives an intimate restaurant-style vibe to your event. Make a statement with long banquettes running down the center of your space for a dramatic look at your head table or VIP tables.

You will start to see square tables incorporated more into designs. This helps to break up a room of long banquet or round tables.
We’ve all seen different floral designs featured from table to table. But having different tabletop decor at each of your tablescapes will really bring you event to the next level. Keep your guests surprised and wow them with the variety of decor they see around your event. Working with an event designer is going to help bring this look together, making sure everything is cohesive in the overall design.

Dramatic Draping
We are not talking about your white chiffon draping, we are talking textures of luxe velvet or crepe draping. Layering in monochromatic colors, starting the draping from the ceiling in various points and having it flow and puddle on the ground will give that extra romantic vibe.

Bold Color
Color has been making a comeback for awhile, but look out 2025 as color is will be there in a BIG WAY. From non-traditional ceiling installs, to decor on the tables, and even to the flatware; color will be making a showcase next year!

Traditionalism
With the trend of the “Trad Wife” on the rise, you will see a throwback to a more vintage and traditional look in 2025 when it comes to decor and food service. Think sterling silver serving dishes, toile linens and vintage candelabras.

Lighting & Installations
Personalized Color Palettes
More couples are choosing customized color schemes for their lighting design. This trend lets us tailor lighting hues to match the wedding’s color theme, enhancing everything from romantic blush tones for ceremonies, to vibrant colors for the reception. We predict soft pastels and bold jewel tones will be especially popular.

Immersive Lighting Installations
Couples are leaning into lighting that creates an all-encompassing experience. This includes everything from dynamic light shows to fully immersive environments where guests feel transported. For example, we’ve created cascading light tunnels and mesmerizing ceiling installations that add a unique “wow” factor to the celebration.

Cost-Effective Venue Transformation
Lighting remains one of the most impactful yet budget-friendly ways to transform a venue. With strategic lighting design, even simple spaces can be turned into something extraordinary, adding elegance, warmth, or drama without the need for extensive decor. It’s a powerful tool to elevate the atmosphere while staying within budget.

Sustainable Lighting Choices
Environmentally-conscious couples are increasingly interested in energy-efficient and sustainable lighting options. As part of this trend, we’re focusing more on eco-friendly LED lights and re-usable decor to minimize the environmental impact while keeping the aesthetic breathtaking.

Highlighting Micro-Experiences
With weddings placing more focus on intimate and interactive experiences, lighting is playing a big role in spotlighting areas like photo booths, lounge spaces, or dessert stations. These dedicated lighting areas provide unique photo opportunities and memorable interactions for guests.

Floral Predictions
Floral design can have such an impact on the overall aesthetic of your wedding day. Our team rounded up these four floral trends that we love and predict will be popping up more and more throughout this 2025 wedding season.
Color Blocking & Monochromatic Looks
We already know color is here to stay in 2025! We anticipate florists accentuating this in their designs with bold monochromatic and color blocked arrangements.
